After training at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, Gary became one of the youngest cast members in Starlight Express, playing Poppa and Electra in London and later Rocky 2 in Germany. He had a top ten hit You got the groove, with Polydor Records, Germany.

He went on to form a successful band, Access All Areas, supporting celebrities such as Ant and Dec. Gary has worked with many stars: Mel Gibson; Anthony Hopkins; The Spice Girls; Madonna and has had a successful West End Musical Theatre career appearing in Bugsy Malone, Doctor Dolittle, Jesus Christ Super Star, and is currently playing Banzai the Hyena in The Lion King where he is also the Assistant Childrens Director.
